Greetings from Baomahun,

 So much has happened in such a short time, it is hard to know what all to write about. It is hard to believe how fast the time has flown, October already.

It has been wonderful thus far and looks like it will continue. I am having a lot of fun teaching, the kids seem to remember much of what is taught. I have been teaching them some songs and love to hear them walk around singing “I’m in right, out right, up right down right,  happy all the time” WOW!

 

 Here is Moses standing by me, and Mustifia, being Mustifia in the background.
Mustifia who is smart, knows it and wants me to know he knows it all!! Very sweet boy, loves to play tic tac toe, falls on the ground, when he loses!

I just love this little guy, his name is Bobo (Small boy) he is so very good, falls asleep in class, but always has a smile, unless you have a camera in his face!!

I have enjoyed many new tastes and flavors here!

I waited until I was nearly 24 to get my official Florida Drivers License.

My permit said it expired in 2014. I was waiting for that. ;)

I now know how to drive a standard shift 5 speed.

I enjoy holding all the babies.

This one is precious.

 

I feel like a celebrity when I walk through town, there are always kids to cling to you, to call “opatoo” (White man) it is just amazing.

The ride from Freetown to Bahaman  took about 7 ½ hours,

because of the weight of all the luggage.

My mosquito net works wonderfully.

 I am not sure what this is, but it has a lot of legs.

It is the closest I have come to a snake, so far. Amen!

I have already started teaching Bible classes,

 and there are plans to add more classes in nearby villages.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Aimée and the most important decision of my life was made on April 1^st ,  2005.  After fifteen years of living in a Christian home, attending all the Church events I realized my personal need of a Saviour to pay for my sin. Since then I have desired to serve the Lord in any way that I can.

About five years ago, my family and I were introduced to some different ways that are available to proclaim the Gospel. One of my favorites is tract distribution at sporting and firework events, parades and just any time. These are great opportunities to get God’s word into hundreds of hands in a short period of time.

I have been able to go on two missions trips, with a third one coming up in just a couple months. My first trip was to the island of Trinidad to serve with Pastor James Hoffmeister and Charity Baptist Church. This was an amazing trip. It was such a blessing to meet people and have an instant fellowship because we all have the same Saviour! The group was able to help with Hospital visits and distribution of about 10,000 John & Romans, a youth activity and much more.

The second trip was to Thessaloniki, Greece, (Check out this website for more details www.jameswknox.net/thess) On this trip we passed out tracts and Bible in one of the main Squares of the city near the Aegean Sea, under the Roman Arch and through out the city. The Orthodox Church has such a hold on the people of that country, but we were able to speak with many and give them the truth that they need Jesus, not the Church!

 

Also on this trip, we were able to take a side trip to see the ruins of the city of Philippi and the jail where it is claimed that Paul and Silas was imprisoned.

 

 

 

For trip number three, I will be joining the Holts in Sierra Leone, West Africa for a year to help them with Children’s Ministries, etc. The only thing I have declined to help with is anything having to do with snakes. I will hide until the excitement is over!!!
