Hurricane Matthew - The Result

 I went out during a calmer part of the storm to retrieve a bucket before it banged into something. Plus, I wanted to try out my rain jacket! :)

 This is a common sight along the east coast as well as inland areas.

Many old and weak trees were blown over or broken in half by Matthew. Many fences and roofs are also in need of repair. But this storm was certainly not as bad as the hurricanes that hit Florida in 2004!

Hurricane Matthew - the lead up

 The last time I saw store shelves this empty was is 2004, when Charley, Francis and Jeanne came to visit Florida.
